No one can know for sure, but I think that an attack by combined Western forces and Israelis could lead to a fall of the Iranian government. But an attack by the Israelis alone could actually help consolidate the regime. As a result, in the long term Iran would still have nukes -- and would be more likely to use them. There is only so much that a small nation can do in a war against a big one, with a population over 10 times its own. Not to mention the many millions of other Muslims who would get pissed off more than ever.
