Even'in Dave,

I'm glad you posted the links which reveals more clearly the subject matter which inspired your piece.

What do I think? . . . Its long. I'm glad you posted the first link first because I find it far more interesting actually than the second, for two reasons:

1. Its shorter. A reader per say, I am not. If it has over 20K of material I'll usually skip it. It isn't that I do or don't find the subject matter interesting, it is that I don't have the time to properly give the subject serious attention to form an opinion.
(or, I have a short attention span)

2. I got through about the first six paragraphs in 15 min. I was intrigued by what the different reviewers concluded from what appeared to be a serious study of the life of S. Johnson's work. But as I alluded to in #1 its too long for me to read tonight; weekend stuff. But I will say this, I found what I did read very interesting regarding S.J. works and how he drew from his own life to give of himself to that which he so loved.

Glad to read ya,

Mike
