I apologize for refering to Random Walk as a theory. I suppose I should refer to it as you do.

You are right. I should be more precise when I spoke of averages because, as your rightly state, the vast majority of funds do not beat the averages--that is the S&P etc.-- due to expenses. But I think my fundamental question still applies: that is, many managers/investors do much better than others, and it is still a puzzle to me as to whether this may memic the distribution of intelligence of the investors themselves, or it is just luck. Though statically speaking I tend to lean in your direction on this, I am objective enough to feel that the cards are not all in yet. I have sure made alot of money playing those self fufilling prophecies Chris spoke about.

I assume you invest. DO you really throw darts?..given your statement that neither FA or TA is predictive. What brings you to the Claires Board? Perhaps stocks just always go up.
