The main point I am trying to make is that once a bubble has formed, that index is dead meat for at least a quarter century, during that period, it will generally hit several bottoms, and usually the final bottom is not seen until about 15-20 years after the bubble begins to implode.

As much as I don't want to discount history, I really don't think using data from such a different time and enviroment, shows little beyond how it might play out.

The market and all types information flow are so different in my 4 plus decades in the market, then adding another 4 decades on top of that, makes comparisons beyond rational. IMHO.
