You seem to be saying that these countries were actually losing money on the goods and services they are exporting but making their profits on the currency arbitrage.

I am aware of dumping of goods into the foreign markets but I did not think that this was the primary source of their profits.

Can you give an example for some country that would illustrate this mechanism in action? Sounds interesting!
