MEG Morsel Alert John Auston gave an enjoyable, 25 min talk on Wed. morning. After JA's talk, several people (the most of any talk) wanted to ask more questions, but the proctor cut them short due to time constrictions (too bad). -When attending John's speaking engagements, if you listen close, you can usually ascertain one or two new bits of info.- One such piece follows. JA reports that so far, in all of Ashton's testing from AB drilling, only crater facies rocks have been experienced. Further, to date only evidence of Type One kimberlites (no detected trending towards lamproites) has been supported, with the presence of a classic indicator mineral suite. Age dating of the K's shows them to be around 86-88mil yrs old. more to come! -j :>
