O/T Covered Calls

I agree with Dale's and Uncle Frank's posts.

There are different approaches for using covered calls. For example, on my wife's account, I have been writing calls for the past 7 months for income purposes so that she can cut back at her professional job. I do not care if I get called out of any of the stocks I write on because I want the income. So far, so good.

Another method that I use on my mother's IBM shares is to try to pick up a few buck without losing the stock. I write out of the money calls so little likelyhood of getting called out.
