Mo, if two people who are in a dispute BOTH insist on having the last word, the dispute never ends. A mature person realizes that having the last word does not necessarily make on the "winner" (or even a winner).
Believe me, the thread has no shortage of viewpoints (which I am sure that you realize). And I will have to agree, that some people, some times, treat those who simply have differing viewpoints badly. Fact is, that when this happens to people, if they will just respond calmly, rationally and not by either grossly over reacting or getting emotional, THEY will be the ones held in higher regard by the readers, even if it is those treating them badly who have the last word. |
