Waterhouse IRAs ...

I know I can call Customer Service and ask this, but what all is allowed in a Waterhouse IRA? Obviously Stocks and Bonds, but I seem to recall reading something about Options as well. Does this mean buying only, or can you write options as well? If they must be covered, is it within the IRA itself, or could it be in a normal cash/margin account?

Thanks for the info, and I'm also looking for advice on how to best make use of a Roth IRA. I've got no problem with risk, and probably about 40 years to retirement.
