Good points, and don't forget the 'fun' conversion to 64 bit where they will need to fix their OS (ie rewrite a good portion probably) and many applications. Also for Jeff, please stop comparing current _real_ products to vapor ware (that is a product that is not even built yet!!). SGI will have new products also.. Also when comparing benchmarks, make sure that the use compilers that are shipped or that will be shipped instead of 'benchmark compilers'. Most Intel benchmarks (from my understanding talking to a Intel guy) was the benchmarks are done on SCO Unix, and with Intel compilers, why?? performance. (When I asked him why they did not use NT and MS compilers he just laughed). Mark
