Larry, Where did you see the IMHO news about the tender for NOVELL?

Only news that I know of is:
DENVER, Nov 8 (Reuter) - Novell Inc declined to comment about the rise in the company's stock on Friday, nor would a spokesman discuss whether the software company was the target of a takeover effort.

"The company does not comment on short-term activity, and the company as a matter of policy does not comment on takeover speculation," said Peter Troop, director of investor relations for Novell.

Novell shares rose 2-3/8 to close at 11-1/2 on volume of more than 13 million shares.

With Novell's capitalization at about $4 billion, most potential suitors would be hard pressed to take over the software company, to say nothing of a premium that would be necessary.

Still, rumors that the Orem, Utah company was the target of a takeover surfaced on Motley Fool, an online market watcher, and the stock jumped afterwards.
