I read an interview with him at the time and he said one reason he was retiring then was because his father had dropped dead at age 45. As he reached a similar age, he thought a lot about what was really important and knocking himself out at Magellan was not high on the list. Something for all of us to keep in mind. (Of course the decision was easier for him when he had several million in the bank. <g>)
