My argument is that junkies who drive while nodding off die (and sometimes take others with them, it is sad to say), just as drinkers who drive while drunk do. We have laws covering this, etc. I am also saying that by making it illegal you encourage the situation where a junkie drives while nodding off. Lots of people drink. Lots of those people also drive. Very few drink and drive. Why? Becasue they can plan their lives around their drinking, and that applies to a full on alcoholic as well as a social drinker. Same principle.

Look, life is not perfect, I've been around on this conversation too many times, listen to Friedman or Buckley, others, they say it better than I ever could.
