Just did some TV upgrading. My old 25 inch was giving me problems, so I bought a 40 inch Sony and a Sony Blue-Ray that lets me connect to the Internet. Interesting where pricing is. The TV ran me about $675, the Blue-Ray about $79. The Sony's are much more, but I figure at my age this is the last TV I will have to buy. :>)

The Blue-Ray was cheap, but my cable provider only provides the basic "one connection" modem so I had to buy two ethernet connection cables and a splitter, which ran me about $50. I hooked up to Netflix and they really only had one new movie I wanted to see, "Lincoln Lawyer." The rest that were of interest were not on their "Over the internet" list. They give you a month free, and that's about the limit of my interest. But I think I will enjoy the rest of what's out there on the Net. The TV is OUTSTANDING! In my limited space, it fills the room.
