MCI , BT , Telebras in deal
NEW YORK,, July 14 (Reuter) - MCI Communications Corp (MCIC) said Telecomunicacoes Brasileiras SA, or Telebras, (TEL.SA)(TBR - news) will start offering Concert Communications Services in Brazil by September.
The companies said Concert Communications Services, launched in July 1994 and headquartered in Reston, Va., develops ``advanced networking services'' for multinational businesses.
The companies said the Concert portfolio includes: Concert Virtual Network Service, Concert Packet Services, Concert Managed Bandwidth Service, and Concert InternetPlus.
On November 3, 1996, MCI announced a definitive agreement to merge with British Telecomunications Plc (BTY.L). Concert is a joint venture of MCI and British Telecom. |
