Oh, I think Apple has drawn a clear picture of their next steps. They are definitely pushing for a return to profitability as their first priority. They are going to push areas where they have bench strength...internet servers and technologies, multimedia and desktop publishing, Quicktime technology, etc. And of course the vaporware called Copeland. They are going to avoid the commodity category of computer (the type I buy) and build Windows compatibility into their new machines (without extra circuit cards or software emulators). The only question is "will they be able to do it?" The company I work for is planning to DUMP 500 Macs over the next 5 years! I bet others are doing the same. Of course, APPL was up almost 25% yesterday! So who knows what the future will hold? Linx, you may be right that they are going down the tubes, but I would not bet the ranch on it! Chris
