The consequence for this world of having had the God-Man personally present, and what they finally did to him, is that he is returning to judge the world that unjustly executed him. His regime will bring to an end all political powers the world has had to endure since man first subjugated his fellow man. In His Kingdom, "they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." (Isaiah 2:4) Currently the Gospel is in force, a call on everyone to make peace with Him before that time comes.
