Thanks for the good article. CPQ is always seeking to avoid dependency on one supplier - the article is correct that CPQ does like alternatives. CPQ now has deals with most Unix suppliers to provide their version of Unix - thus CPQ wins with Windows and Unix. independence is a very strong motivation within CPQ as they like to control their own destiny.
