Exactly -- just imagine all the public dollars going to parasites near you, if you could look them up on the "Database of Federal Parasites"

It is all public information, already in electronic form. All that is needed is the go-ahead to allow watchdogs to put it up on websites.

Every department should be fully transparent, including DOD, on all information, with the only exception being bona-fide military secrets, of which there are almost none.

Rumsfeld casually mentioned $2 TRILLION "missing" in DOD accounting. This, absent any evidence to the contrary, is simply theft. All non-black-budget invoices, payables, checks written, should be exposed, and you would soon see some honesty. Forget Arthur Anderson, there are millions of pissed off people who would love nothing better than browsing through mountains of data and start putting things together.
