DB: HIV has been basing around 2 for quite awhile. Uptrend started about two-three weeks ago. They have several HIGHLY innovative cancer therapies and AIDS vaccines in the pipeline. (go to web site if you want more info on this celsci.com.) Tests have been very very positive. Speculation on price trend falls into two areas: 1. There is news coming. 2. There is manipulation going on. It may be a little of both, although I favor the former. The news could be of two varieties: 1. Something favorable about their research -- Phase three okay or go-ahead from some African government for HIV tests or an okay from India for same. Something like that. The other possibility is some kind of partnership with a big drug company, Merck of Germany is possible, some other Euro pharma. The stock manipulation would derive from convertibles and warrants granted last year in return for cash. It seems likely, however, that the bulk of these have already passed thru. We now are at the point where it is quite possible to head up another two points quickly. Substantial short covering would lead to considerable additional pop. In my view this is a VERY GOOD speculative play right now. (Plus it will be unaffected by any doopsy do in the nit sector). M2
