Damn. I guess breastfeeding only really works for warding off allergies if 1) you are an infant (not jut infantile), and 2) the mother has a properly functioning immune system. Of course there are other benefits.

I wonder how much things might work if the baby got passed around a bit and was able to sample several flavors of milk. Would the little tyke have fewer allergies if he took a few drags off the neighbor's?

Would he grow up harboring fantasies about wife swapping?

If this were a biochemically sound approach, then blended human milk would be a good approach. Lactating mothers could all make donations to the milk bank, and the kids could all make withdrools.

Any plans to get a 'nanny' for Helen now and then?
