To all current Compuserve users. I have theorized that compuserve users were compuserve users by choice. They could have gone to AOL or any other service but they didn't because they liked something with Compuserve. Now that AOL is acquring each of "you" for about $96, my most intriguing question is how many of you would go ahead be an AOL member and how many of you would shop for alternative services?

I would like to conduct a formal survey in this regard. I would appriciate your sending your reply (e-mail to me, please) to the following questions:
1. How many years you have been a compuserve member?
2. What other on-line services you tried before sticking with Compuserve.
3. After AOL acquires Compuserve will you stick with AOL or shop elsewhere.
4. Any comments?

Who am I to conduct this survey?
I am a private investor who currently holds puts on AOL.
I have no vested interest in trying to lure to any particular service.
I expect to share the results of the survey with other participants on SI. Hopefully it will help them make a wise investment decision regarding AOL and other on-line services.
Keep in mind this is by no means a scientific study and the results can be misleading. If the responses are fewer than 30, the results can be even more misleading.
Thanks.
