Vendit, Absolutely, It's kinda like "why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" I just PM'd George Martin my view of the relationship between operating companies whether they be cable/copper wire/wireless or telekinetic. AOL did not want to get married to one technology. I think that's very smart. No one who knows the technology well is ready to declare a winner, so why should AOL make huge investments in hard assets that may not deliver the revenue? The RBOC's want to drag their feet. The CLEC's are charging fast. Somethings gotta give. AOL is positioned to go to either and say,"well we have 19 million customers and growing fast(Did you get your free AOL GOLD disc in your Sunday paper today?) I did, the friggin' thing was attached to the outside of the plastic bag the paper comes in. Wonder how many are plugging it in as we speak? Anyway, the battle of RBOC"S/CLEC's?/cable operator inures a great benefit to your friend and mine.
I've become quite the opinionated little sh*t now havent I?
Oh, did I mention wireless? Can you say AOL anywhere?
