Shalom, maybe so. I have always remembered the woman caught in adultery, "(John 8:3 NASB) "And the scribes and the Pharisees brought^ a woman caught in adultery, and having set her in the midst," (John 8:4 NASB) "they said^ to Him, "Teacher, this woman has been caught in adultery, in the very act." (John 8:5 NASB) ""Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?""
(John 8:7 NASB) "But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.""
(John 8:9 NASB) "And when they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the midst." (John 8:10 NASB) "And straightening up, Jesus said to her, "Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?"" (John 8:11 NASB) "And she said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you; ......."
(Rom 3:23 NASB) "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
I can envision myself in the dirt surrended by harsh, judgmental, unsympothetic people; alone, guilty, without help, out numbered, feeling very small. Then the Master gets down in the dirt beside me and writes, David, I love you. Then stands up, offers His hand for me to arise and says, "Neither do I condemn you". Friends, does it get any better than that? Forgiveness of God growing in the seedbed of His love, beyond the understanding of the mind of mankind.
Thank God for His marvelous, unfathonable grace and love.
