Not in the game, but following the score since August, and thinking about nibbling right about now.

Looks as if HEC controls the price by their buying, allowing it to fall if the selling pressure reaches a certain volume. Hec could spoil the short party easily, but consider how mutually beneficial the current situation is between shorts and HEC...

In fact, if I was HEC, I'd drill a few dry holes in Columbia, or put off further drilling until there was rioting among shareholders. Maybe they could persuade the Columbians that the field is non-commercial, and acquire the remaining WI. In the interim , I'd continue to buy shares and do some development of oil fields on other property. In the Costa Rica announcements, I'd emphasize the cost of the exploration, and harp on the debt.
