We're going to Elaine's for Thanksgiving.
Tonight was a lovely night. We have our tree up, lights on, and mantel decorated. Stacie, Mike and the kids came over for dinner, after which we finished decorating the tree. This was a first Christmas Tree decorating for Annabelle, and she loved it!
She was helping us open old ornaments and decorations, and oohing and aahing over each one that she opened. She shook the Christmas bells, wound the snow globes to play pretty little diddies, and hung little angels on the tree.
We decorated the bannisters with tiny lights, and greenery, and hung stockings in strategic spots along the railing. I wanted to get most of the decorating done tonight, because I'm having the neighborhood women's Christmas party the Sunday after I get home.
I've found, when you have reinforcement to bring Christmas decorations from the basement, take advantage of it...
Now it's time to pack my suit case. |
