Dr. Oliver: Thanks for the post (it's great hearing from you again, altho' I realize it is difficult to practice/discuss telemedicine via the 'net). At this time, I'm not willing to abandon HAART (with Viracept). Major issues, not often mentioned, are the medical need for prophylactic/preventive/therapeutic drugs besides HAART and an indication of the patient's clinical status at the time of treatment (eg., asymptomatic HIV, symptomatic HIV, AIDS, AIDS with complications, etc.). From what you know so far, would you be willing, if available, to add Remune to your treatment regimens? I think I would like to give it a try, if the patient agrees. Any other doctors have any other ideas or comments? BTW, I also like the AGPH HIV drug pipeline. Best regards, "IZZY" |
