The Vietnam War as SO wrong that by 1971 it was not attacking our country to criticize it, it was trying to SAVE our country to criticize and expose it. The cost of that war to this country we are still paying. Bottomline, it was the worst military and foreign policy mistake this country has ever made. So why keep it going?

The trouble is that a lot of people of voting age today were born during the Vietnam War (1964-1975) or later, and so most of them have not heard of the war until only recently. So, for this crowd, the Vietnam War is something "new" or a distant memory for others and, as events have shown, the ignorant and impressionable segment, if they happen to be pro-Republican, have become O'Neill's "useful idiots" chanting anti-Kerry mantras and seeking to neutralize the Democrats' chances of winning.
