Furthermore, the foundries are handling the lower complexity products and leaving the higher complexity devices to the primary companies. An analog I am used to hearing for much more low tech products, which takes some getting used to when referring to semiconductor devices.

BTW, lots of *good* rumors going around the SEM world (of which I am part of) as to how well AMAT will actually do over the next several quarters. I will be adding significant portions to my *long* term position as soon as I feel the price has stablized. My medium term position is already too heavy in AMAT ;-) [Kumar will understand my allocation ;-)]
