Scott, I guess Apple isn't going to spin-off Newton after all: sjmercury.com. They're going to make a general purpose Emate too, according to the article. re: the PPC chip issue. I'm really confused now. I find it hard to believe Jobs plans to make Apple an NC-only/mostly company. Will post-1998 Macs be CISC boxes? Maybe he really does plan to split the company, spinning off most of the hardware business. Lots of folks have claimed this was his intention all along. Thoughts? Bob
