looks like Q may be starting a run just in time to help you with your real estate transaction.

Yeah, with my luck, I would get a blow-off the day I had to sell, so I put a sell order in at 154 to cover the down on the house. We will see if it fills.

Looks like Gemstar is getting ready to "cross the Chasm". I will follow with interest. With the advertising revenue possibilities, this stock would go though the ceiling if it clears the hurdles. There are a lot of very powerful companies fighting them, so it is no sure thing yet, IMO, and I like sure things now.

I see Cisco is at 63 as of this post, almost back to what I sold it for last month. I guess the market finds this kind of outstanding performance boring! But, I have to admit, its PE is the highest I know of for a hardware company. Its lock on the software, and its gorilla status, is what keeps it there, of course. I think the up side now on Cisco is going to match increase in earnings, or about 35% a year. The downside is a 40% drop any time we get a downturn.

There were some numbers posted on the Q thread showing 8 a year earnins in two years just from royalties, and I think they were probably as accurate as possible at this stage. With the collapse of Motorola's satellite system, Q's 11% holding in Globalstar gets more interesting. I would not want any MOT in my portfolio right now, they have guaranteed the loans!
