I don't think there is a right or wrong here. I sold MGDDY after it run up 30% from my purchase price. DELL was unique in that it was an AH sell, where I felt I could get in cheaper the next day. Reason - DELL has huge institutional ownership that would likely lead to huge sales after the significant earnings miss and I wanted to get ahead of that. E_K_S sold CLF was was bombed out like few other stocks, which is a bit different, I think. Any remotely good news will get this stock up 20% in a hurry, IMO, same is very unlikely with DELL.

I do admit that most of my profits came from trading rather than investing since 2010, so it's not that I claim to be a non-market timer purist, but the time to sell was a month ago, not know. But of course I could be very wrong too...
