If you believe (or believe the negative) than you aren't agnostic.

Only atheism and theism are mutually exclusive as atheism means, "without theism."

No it doesn't mean without theism. That's the derivation of the word, but if it meant without theism than deists would be atheists. I do however agree that atheism and theism are mutually exclusive.

Try thinking about it on the subject of alien visitations. I don't believe they are happening but i certainly can't prove it. I can't say i know they're not happening. That makes me an atheist and agnostic on alien visitations.

If you think they are very unlikely, than your a highly skeptical agnostic. (Which is my opinion. Although I think its very likely that extraterrestrial intelligence exists, in fact I'm nearly certain it exists somewhere in the vast universe, I think its somewhat unlikely that they've visited earth, and very unlikely that they have visited, been witnessed by humans, and had humans make a public report of the story. And if any of the public reports are true, I still think the vast majority of them are false.)

Your "atheist" (not literally since atheist unlike agnostic relates only to belief on religious issues, but I'm following your analogy), if you positively believe that aliens have never visited Earth.

Agnostic indicates a degree on uncertainty. You can lean to one side or the other, but you don't have a solidly established position for or against the idea.
