IMHO, deflation scenario can only happen if we have US+Euro recession and China cannot QE and deflates sharply.

However, in regards of oil, I've been Peak Oiler, but now I'm not so sure. Shale oil+gas has taken a lot of wind from Peak Oil story for now. I don't want to seem Monday morning quarterback, but I was thinking of selling my oil stocks when oil was still over hundred, since I felt that it's quite possible for oil price to drop quite a bit. We may be there already now or we may see $60's.

But oil is just a part of the picture, so oil price drop still does not guarantee deflationary scenario.
