announced today a networking strategy designed to support the Company's rapid growth and position AOL to lead the market with increased capacity and the provision of high-speed, high-quality communications services.
To advance this strategy, AOL has signed a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Advanced Network & Services (ANS)

In other words Sam, what you just posted is exactly what AOL said
when it bought ANS in 1994. The release was downloaded from AOL's website. I'd give u the URL but today I get no response from the news archives link. Really. -:
