Other than increased visibility and publicity, is there any reason why ASND being added to the S&P 500 would generate an increase in its stock price? Because some mutual funds hold all the stocks in the S&P 500, and they are therefore required to buy it to balance their index. It is a familiar theme, and there are actually people who do nothing more than try to predict which stocks are next to be added, etc... If you are a trader and it goes up 20%+ sell it. You can buy it cheaper later.
