we have asset allocation..... diversification and stop losses to help to mitigate losses....... the problem with flash crashes is they can care blow way through stops........ it's like Hill Street Blues ........where they said something along the lines of "be careful out there today"...... what you want to do is dump 200k or a million or more in a trust..... have the trust earn income which is not taxable and put the earnings of the trust. into a big old payment on a life insurance policy ...... where the beneficiaries pay zero income taxes on the policies when they pay off..... and thus you minimize your tax build each year and the wealth transfer occcurs with no TAXES................ almost better than a Cayman Island acccount. John
