Hello Kumar,

I'm new to the AMAT thread - I enjoy reading much of the first rate discussions here. I am a fan of AMAT and a few other technology stocks which I was fortunate enough to have bought last year.

I am just learning about various market indicators and I am intrigued by the prewarning suggestion in your post. I poked around at the number of buys vs sells indicated in a particular stock. AMAT had 9 B to 1 S, MSFT 18 B to 6 S, and INTC 12 B to 9 S. Being the novice that I am, I figure this means don't worry about AMAT (buy more), cut back a little on MSFT, and think about avoiding INTC.

Am I correct in jumping to these conclusions or should I look for a trend in the buy vs' sell numbers and learn about how this correlates with the stock price? I appreciate any additional thoughts that you might have.

Regards,

Michael
