After watching what KTEL did (12+ on Friday, 80+ Monday), I won't put an overnight market order in EVER. What does everyone think the pattern will be at open?

If the gap is around 20%, it qualifies as an open short after 9:45a, when the last paper in the door comes through. If the gap is less than 20%, you could probably buy and sell at whatever you see as a top (probably around 20%). The initial top should be somewhere before 10:30-11:00a. Chances are, this top will be broken later, again depending upon the percentage before open. If the market is overly negative, it will gap up and stall all day. Tomorrow could qualify as a somewhat negative day based on S&P futures analysis. Again, this is a common pattern for a "gainer" based on news or earnings. I honestly don't know if it works on S&P 500 stock additions...

I learned about gainers and dumpers from Ken Wolff:
mtrader.com

He is one of the more conservative day-traders around. You should take a look at his strategies and patterns if you are interested. He also has a chat room that I think is about $150 per month. This is not an advertisement, I don't subscribe, but I respect his trading strategies very much...and he's a very nice guy who has tried to help every day-trader who has come his way...
