If you transferred a 238 Mbyte file in 40 seconds, you certainly have a better connection than a T-1. In fact, that's better than you could do with a T-3 (wish I had a connection like that)!

I believe the press release to be correct. They mention T-1. With a T-1, transfer time would be ~45 minutes for a 411 Mbyte file, which could certainly be 56 minutes with network overhead thrown in.

No compression was used.
