I have SpeakingNaturally by Dragon, and I bought it on a recommendation from a user at CompUSA. IBM has ViaVoice (I think) and there may be others.
I don't know if they have gotten the translation thing working properly yet, but I think there are 2 problems, being grammatical presentation, and word usage.
The program is 'highly' trainable, now that I think of it, and since it uses sound recognition, you would only have to 'speak' the sound, and then enter the 'word' into the dictionary. Only English is there now, and when you 'read' the 'text' on the original 'learning' lesson (to train the program), it could just as easily be any language, which would leave only the grammatical changes that would have to be addressed. I suppose that could be accomplished after the complete text was inputted. Still a lot of work!
I think that it will be sometime before a translation will not have to be proof read! Like you say, still a real time saver!
