Who would want to buy a 1.7GHZ (10.2GHZ ops) P4 when they could get a 10.8GHZ ops Athlon 4 for no additional cost? Interesting idea. Operations per second can easily sound more important that clockspeed if marketed effectively. Maybe AMD and apple can lead the push jointly. Apple sure needs it.
