A very interesting and informative column by Gene Epstein at interactive.wsj.com for those without WSJ access, or too lazy to read the whole column, the nutshell summary is in the following statement. "Ergo, with the FS gaining ground while the BA tumbles, a rebound is just around the corner. At least, these indicators have always yielded the outcome of the previous eight pregnant pauses." FS=Final Sales. BA= Business Adjustment. Read the column to get a more precise definition and understanding.
