<<Well, I guess you must be right. These guys wouldn't waste their time on loser
cases. After all, loser cases don't pay. >>

Here are the 7 cases they started in January alone:

CORPORATION EXCHANGE: SYMBOL CLASS PERIOD
Adaptec, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADPT) 4/29/97-1/8/98
Digital Lightwave, Inc. (NASDAQ:DIGL) 7/17/97-1/22/98
Iomega Corp. (NYSE:IOM) 9/22/97-1/22/98
Philip Services Corp. (NYSE:PHV) 5/21/97-1/26/98
Rainforest Cafe, Inc. (NASDAQ:RAIN) 10/20/97-1/6/98
Sybase, Inc. (NASDAQ:SYBS) 4/18/97-1/21/98
Versant Object Technology (NASDAQ:VSNT) 4/28/97-1/13/98

By starting (7 x 12 = 84) cases per year they can make a good living.

<<Just wondering. For example, what do you yourself expect to get? >>

In the last Iomega case, the law firm got $272,000 and the plaintiffs got a $3.00 gift certificate. You can buy a nice Happy Meal at McDonalds with those big bucks.

<<Also, why should company funds be used to defend the CEO against insider trading
charges? That can't be right. He should be on his own there, I should think.
Any thoughts on this?>>

Implicit in any deal that involves compensation with stock is the receivers right to sell the stock and get money for it. The company needs to defend this right or it will be unable to offer stock as compensation.
