Dear Charles: Not to turn this site into a Middle East discussion but I can tell you I wish the USA were not in the middle of this. Both sides seem almost impossible to deal with and now we seem to be in a situation where the whole world thinks the big guy (Israel) is beating up the Little Guy (Palistinians) and the even BIGGER GUY (USA) is egging them on. I am sure we had the best intentions but we all know what they are worth. IMHO Bush originally wanted to stay out of the fray until the sides became more reasonable but so much pressure was put onto him that he buckled. Again, IMHO this has become Bush's first major mistake in his administration. I know this probably makes you glad. (gg) JDN
