Sorry Hugh, just as with Hoover, this is Bush's Depression. Just as 9/11 happened on HIS watch, the Bush Depression started on his watch, enabled by his legions of regulatory Brownies who'd been instructed not to "get in businesses way", happening to what he wasn't paying any attention to, America, while the "war president" chased his pointless white whale in Iraq.

Not that his paying attention would have changed anything. Everything he touched turned into a turd. Now, your party won't even utter his NAME.
