Compaq continues to expand.

COMPAQ, ASTRA GRAPHIA SIGN PACT ON ASTRA STAKE IN DAN

JAKARTA, Feb 17, 1999 (Asia Pulse via COMTEX) -- Compaq Computers Corporation and
PT Astra Graphia (JSX:ASGR) are expected to sign an agreement on the purchase of Astra's stake
in PT Digital Astra Nusantara (DAN).

Eastablished in 1995, DAN is jointly owned by Astra and US-based Digital Equipment Corp. with a
fifty-fifty share split.

The two shareholders agreed in 1998 that Astra would sell its 50% stake to Compaq following the
acquisition of Digital by Compaq in the same year.

Astra Graphia accounted for 7.6% of the country's information technology service market share in
1998. The company expects a 5%-10% growth in 1999.
