To some MRVC is fairly valued or slightly overvalued, but these are the few sellers we have seen over the last 4 weeks. Obviously there are more buyers than sellers, as the stock has been moving back towards 34.

The stock is well diserving of a PE north of 40X '97, and would expect a higher PE after the fourth Q proves out its consistent growth. Bear Stearns will bring out this picture when they anounce their Buy recommendation after the secondary.

For those close eneough to observe during the quiet period over the last 2 months, most buying & selling has been strictly retail. Over the last few days institutions have begun to show up in small purchases, but as the road show enters NYC tomorrow I would expect to see the stock quickly move up to $35 as these real buyers start to put away stock with the expectations we will see a strong 4th Q and a stronger '98. Networld-Interop is just around the corner so Networking is on all fund managers minds with Fast Ether/Gig Ether/IP Switching getting top billing.

What I would love to hear more about which seems to be kept under the tight lips of MRVC is their MRV Communications DIV. product growth and especially their new products being worked on in the labs. What are their forward plans? I'm sure the big fund managers get these answers at their one on one meetings.

Here's to a great week in technology as Soloman Bros. has a three day conference.

Just a Novice,

Stu
