Last Friday I had a discussion with a good friend about possible take over candidates for Novell and at that time SUNW popped up as well. If you remember how netscape was mentioned as a possible suitor on Friday then I would take a look at SUNW long term strategy and eveluate Novell accordingly you will find some very interesting synergies. In the long term SUNW must not be ruled out.
