You keep overlooking the fact that the information built up by evolution is guided even if it is unintelligent. The act of survival is not a trivial guide, it either happens or it doesn't and the information is reproduced or it isn't. That's very powerful guidance even though it may be unintelligent.

There are other events that influence the passing of information that are not so binary, but they too are a guidance. The information that is preserved is not at all random. Guidance does not require intelligence, just some consistency.
